Vision and Mission

The Laboratories Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences is committed to enhancing the academic standards of the College by training and developing students in the use of modern laboratory equipment and strengthening the practical aspects of education alongside theoretical learning. The Unit also strives to prepare graduates with advanced practical skills and competencies that meet labor market demands while fostering innovation and enhancing their professional and applied capabilities.

Objectives

The Laboratories Unit aims to maintain the highest level of operational readiness and to graduate scientifically qualified personnel with advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills through effective educational programs and training on modern laboratory equipment. The Unit also seeks to provide the scientific departments with their laboratory equipment requirements and to oversee the monitoring, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment across all departmental laboratories.


Laboratories Unit Work Guide and Achievements

Introduction

The Laboratories Unit is one of the core units within the Quality Assurance Division. It is responsible for supervising the provision and maintenance of laboratory facilities, ensuring that laboratory operations comply with approved scientific standards, organizing laboratory schedules, overseeing the safety and readiness of laboratory equipment and supplies, and documenting all practical activities and experiments conducted in the laboratories.

Objectives of the Laboratories Unit

1-Develop the laboratory environment in support of the educational process.

2-Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its readiness for use.

3-Organize and supervise the work of laboratory technicians and supervisors.

4-Document practical classes and laboratory experiments conducted throughout the academic year.

5-Contribute to achieving quality assurance standards and enhancing academic performance.

Achievements During the Academic Year (2024–2025)

1-Regularly updated the Ministry’s electronic laboratory management system for laboratories and laboratory equipment at the College of Education for Pure Sciences.

2-Circulated the Ministry’s Laboratory Quality Standards Guide and issued an administrative order establishing a committee to monitor and audit compliance with these standards.

3-Participated in workshops on laboratory safety, laboratory security, and the safe operation of laboratory equipment.
