Under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nishat Mubarak Sliwa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Riyadh Mubarak Abdullah, a scientific course entitled “A Journey into the World of Secondary Metabolism: Compounds, Functions, and Applications” was held.The course included a workshop entitled “An Introduction to the World of Secondary Metabolism”, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ban Abdulaziz Aidan, a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences. The workshop addressed the concept of secondary metabolism, its major compounds and biological functions, and its role in protecting living organisms, in addition to its applications in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical industries.
