Under the patronage of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Sliwa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Riyadh Mubarak Abdullah, and on the occasion of the Day of Hope for Suicide Prevention, the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized an awareness workshop entitled “Life is Precious: Awareness and Early Intervention for Suicide Prevention” on Monday, 6 April 2026.The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Abbas Kadhim. The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Huraa Faisal Hasaballah, who addressed the importance of mental health awareness, the need to recognize early warning signs that may require timely intervention and support, as well as promoting a culture of hope and life among youth and raising awareness about the risks of suicide.
