The Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Riyadh Mubarak Abdullah, accompanied by the Administrative Assistant Dean, received on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, a delegation from the University of Samarra headed by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Haqi Ismail Jasim. The visit was conducted within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities and in pursuit of expanding avenues of joint scientific partnership.
During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in research and training fields, as well as the exchange of expertise between the two institutions, were discussed in a manner that contributes to the development of the educational process and the enhancement of academic performance.
As part of their tour of the college facilities, the delegation was accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Mumtaz Matti Mansour. The visit included the Laser and Photonics Center, where the delegation met with the Director of the Center and reviewed its available capabilities. Discussions were also held on ways to support the Center and activate its role in serving scientific research and strengthening joint scientific programs.
