Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Hamdaniya, Prof. Nash’at Mubarak Saliwa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mubarak Abdullah, the Department of Biology, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College, organized a training course entitled:
“Sustainable Agriculture: Effective Strategies for Achieving Environmental and Economic Development”
which took place from Sunday, 23 November 2025, to Thursday, 27 November 2025, in the Department of Biology’s lecture hall.

The course consisted of five days of scientific seminars delivered by a group of specialized faculty members. The sessions addressed topics related to the concept and importance of sustainable agriculture, methods of biological control, the role of innovation and technology in advancing the agricultural sector, as well as the economic and social dimensions of sustainable agriculture.

At the conclusion of the course, a final assessment was administered to the participants with the aim of evaluating the extent of their learning and ensuring the achievement of solid educational outcomes.

This course is part of a series of activities implemented by the College to support sustainable development and promote environmental awareness among university staff and students, who constitute the primary target group of this training program.
