As part of the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, the Department of Physics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences organized an awareness workshop entitled “Raising Awareness of the Dangers of Drug Abuse.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Tara Raad Abdulwahab, with the participation of several faculty members from the department.
The event was attended by students and professors, and the lecturer addressed various types of drugs, along with their health, psychological, and social impacts. She also discussed preventive measures and the role of educational institutions in limiting the spread of this dangerous phenomenon.
This activity comes within the department’s and college’s commitment to enhancing community awareness among students and promoting a culture of drug-prevention.
