The Department of Physics aspires to achieve excellence both locally and globally by providing high-quality education and advancing scientific research to enhance students’ understanding of physical principles and concepts.
Mission
The Department of Physics aims to build and prepare students scientifically by providing qualified faculty members and adequate infrastructure to enhance the educational process, which will positively impact society by supplying it with highly qualified graduates capable of working in educational and academic institutions.
Objectives
• To refine students’ scientific and practical personalities, making them capable of serving and developing their communities.
• To empower students both theoretically and practically, deepening their knowledge in various branches of physics.
• To raise the scientific and technical levels of students, enabling them to face and overcome future challenges.
• To train students to conduct practical experiments in both basic and advanced laboratories and to write theoretical and experimental scientific research papers.
• To encourage students to uphold the ethics of the teaching profession.
• To prepare distinguished graduates qualified to work in educational and academic fields.
• To support postgraduate programs and provide the necessary resources to enable students to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees.
