Work Plan / Human Rights Unit

Development of Research and Academic Aspects:

Enhancing the scientific and research aspects of human rights and strengthening the legal understanding of their nature. Emphasis is placed on the principles and culture of human rights and raising awareness of the rules related to individual and collective rights.

The unit also organizes workshops, seminars, and publications on the nature of human rights and the legal rules that ensure their protection.

Overview / Vision, Mission, and Objectives

Vision:

To firmly establish and promote the culture of human rights within the college, university, and society, and to build a generation that believes in justice, equality, and human rights as essential pillars of sustainable development.

Mission:

The Human Rights Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences seeks to spread awareness and knowledge about human rights among students and faculty members. It works to promote values of tolerance, citizenship, and acceptance of others through educational programs, awareness campaigns, and effective partnerships with local and international institutions.

Objectives

.Increase awareness of human rights culture among students, faculty, and staff

Integrate human rights concepts into educational and awareness activities at the university.

Organize seminars, workshops, and training courses to build the capacity of the university community in the field of human rights.

Encourage and support community and volunteer initiatives that promote respect for human rights and reject violence and extremism.

Work with national institutions to support the culture of human rights within the campus.

Guidelines from Ministry and University Presidency:

The Human Rights Unit follows the directives of the Ministry and the University Presidency, based on the special forms and instructions it receives regarding human rights.

Instructions for Citizens:

The unit provides guidelines to enhance understanding of human rights principles. It distributes publications inside the university to raise awareness among students, faculty, and staff, and emphasizes that these rights cannot be violated according to the relevant laws and regulations that provide them with legal protection.

Activities and News (in cooperation with Media):

The Human Rights Unit publishes all its activities, such as workshops, training courses, seminars, and news, on the official university website to maximize their benefits. It also coordinates with the media to ensure proper organization and coverage of these activities.
