Under the patronage of the Governor of Nineveh, and under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Department in the Governorate Office, with support from the Central Bank of Iraq – Nineveh Branch, the University of Al-Hamdaniya participated in the first national women’s marketing exhibition of its kind in Iraq, held in the city of Mosul at the Al-Buhaira Water Hall.
The university was represented in this event by two faculty members from the Department of Biology and members of the University’s Women’s Empowerment Committee: Lecturer Dr. Raghad Adnan Ali and Assistant Lecturer Sama Ghanem Yaqoub. Their participation reflects the university’s commitment to supporting women’s empowerment initiatives and highlighting their pioneering role in society.
The exhibition witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of creative women from various Iraqi provinces, who showcased exceptional presentations of local products and handmade crafts. The displays included visual art paintings, artistic collectibles, traditional textiles and clothing, wooden sculptures, traditional foods, ceramic works, and more—demonstrating their skills and creativity across a variety of fields.
The exhibition aims to economically empower women and enhance their contribution to supporting the national economy by encouraging productive women’s enterprises.
