Maintenance and Civil Defense Unit
The Maintenance and Civil Defense Unit is considered one of the most important units in the organizational structure of the college due to its vital role in providing a safe and stable environment by following up on the college’s safety and security procedures. These procedures include firefighting equipment, alarm systems, and their regular maintenance to ensure their readiness when needed.
Tasks:
- Regularly monitoring and maintaining firefighting equipment and systems.
- Preparing safety and civil defense plans in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
- Preparing reports related to civil defense equipment.
- Conducting civil defense training in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
- Monitoring maintenance requests from departments, divisions, and units within the college.
- Monitoring and maintaining the college’s air conditioning systems and cleaning them regularly.
Achievements:
- Preparing a report on firefighting equipment, including the quantity and types, to ensure availability in the college.
- Monitoring the completion of emergency exits in the college.
- Conducting regular maintenance and follow-up of firefighting and alarm systems.
- Regularly maintaining and cleaning air conditioning systems.
- Maintaining the college’s photocopying machines.
- Maintaining the furniture of administrative offices and classrooms.
Work Guide:
- Maintenance: Maintenance requests from departments, divisions, and units are submitted using a special maintenance form. Afterward, the equipment is inspected to determine whether it can be repaired within the college or needs external workshops for maintenance. A report is prepared after the inspection, and the equipment is either repaired within or outside the college.
- Civil Defense: The unit supervisor follows up on civil defense equipment by checking expiration dates and monitoring alarm systems in collaboration with maintenance engineers.
