In a new scientific achievement added to the academic record of the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Al-Hamdaniya, a research paper authored by Lecturer Dhafer Sabah Yassin, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, has been published in the peer-reviewed *Journal of Education and Science*, issued by the University of Mosul. The paper is titled: *”Enhancing Energy Efficiency in Internet of Things Networks: Energy Consumption Optimization and Energy Harvesting for Sustainable and Resilient Systems.”*The research addresses the growing challenges of energy management in Internet of Things (IoT) networks, which have become increasingly critical due to the rapid expansion of smart devices. The study focuses on innovative strategies that integrate dynamic energy management with energy harvesting from environmental sources such as thermal and vibrational energy, aiming to develop more efficient and sustainable systems. The study adopts a comprehensive methodology that combines digital simulations with real-world experiments to assess the effectiveness of the proposed solutions. The findings demonstrate that specialized energy management algorithms, when paired with contextual energy harvesting, significantly reduce power consumption without compromising overall system performance. This publication represents a valuable contribution to the college’s research activity and highlights its commitment to advancing technological development and sustainable innovation across scientific disciplines
