Cultural Activities Unit

This unit, which is part of the Student Activities Division in the college, is one of the most important units as it contributes to developing students’ talents and their university personality, raising their cultural level, and investing their free time. Culture plays an important role in building bridges of communication with other universities inside and outside the country, and in exchanging experiences in various fields. It is the responsibility of the professor or specialist supervising the unit to train students, prepare a cultural program to develop creativity, and enable students to use their senses, imagination, organization, and the ability to link information to the surrounding environment, discover relationships and laws, and solve problems. The supervisor also prepares an annual program for the unit’s activities in line with the training programs available in the division.

The vision of the unit is to develop and enhance students’ skills in various fields, enabling them to interact, work, and participate effectively in cultural courses and festivals. It aims to invest in the youthful spirit, nurture it on a scientific basis, and provide opportunities for students to practice their hobbies, showcase creativity, and build a community with high values.

The mission of the unit is to attract talented students, refine their skills, and help them reach the best possible level. It also includes preparing and providing suitable halls and venues, developing leadership and social skills, spreading knowledge, and promoting a deep understanding of cultures. The unit encourages positive interaction, cultural dialogue, and provides diverse cultural programs aimed at delivering the intended message effectively.

The main objectives of the unit are to provide opportunities for students to showcase their skills, create a special environment for them that reduces study-related stress, and build self-confidence by assigning them to represent the college in activities inside and outside the university. Other goals include spreading cultural awareness, enhancing interaction to serve society, encouraging creativity, documenting cultural heritage, and building partnerships.
