The Department of Biology held an awareness workshop delivered by Instructor M.M. Manal Mowafaq as part of the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, with the participation of a number of the department’s students. The workshop addressed methods of drug-abuse prevention and emphasized the role of educational institutions in raising awareness about the dangers of this phenomenon.The workshop concluded with several key recommendations, including:• The need to intensify awareness programs targeting youth.• Strengthening the role of families in monitoring and prevention.• Launching continuous media campaigns about the risks associated with drug use.This workshop comes in support of national efforts to curb the spread of drugs within society.
